The aim of the study is to evaluate the antimicrobial and plant promoting activity and to determine the zone of inhibition of Stillbella flavipes FBCC-F1632 from freshwater environment. The antimicrobial activities of FBCC-F1632 was tested against two Gram-positive-Staphylococcus aureus CCARM3095, Bacillus cereus CCARM0120, two gram negative-Escherichia coli CCARM1G440, Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA14, human pathogenic bacteria; and two fungal plant pathogens-Fusarium solani KACC47794, Phytophthora capsici KACC40470. The plant promoting activities, phosphate-solubilizing and siderophore producing, of FBCC-F1632 was tested by measurement of clear zone in PVK and CAS media. The results showed that the extraordinary inhibition of the bacterial and fungal growth was shown against the tested organisms. And the strain had high potential of phosphate-solubilizing and siderophore producing. The activity of the FBCC_F1632 was owing to the presense of various secondary metabolites.
